my trip overseas, 10-19 november

wednesday- at night went airport ate with grandpa and aunt stacey, ryan, board plane to bangkok for 2hrs plus, then to helsinki (finland) for ten long hours.. then to rome for abt 3hrs plus, altogether its 15 hrs and its bloody tiring =p can u blv finnair has no smal screen in front to plae games, selection of shows only 2 movies, ard the world in 80days and spiderman, both which i watch b4 with people... in de end i slpslpslp and eat FOUR meals in de plane.. neck and back aching always.. whats beautiful is the view of sunset when the plane is high abv clouds, amazing. and the view of the alps which i could see frm plane too, snow mountains, splendid.

thursday- reached rome. my third favourite place in trip. the city of churchs, where evrywhere u go u see very old churches, its history runs back to BCs so imagine the buildings they have there al very historical. went to the st peter's cathedral... BEAUTIFUL AND BIG. huge pillars evrywhere, beautiful carvings meticulously made, really very big, its the biggest in the world yep. very nice. went to one of the seven world wonders, the colosseum, the decayed building =/ where the filmed the show gladiators? yeaa. cant enter though, just looked. took pictures :) went to the fountain of trevi, pretty thing. but i didnt make any wish, took pictures den....... went to eat rome's best icecream!! very very nice. diff frm any icecream i have eaten in my life.. anyway things are very costly there.. and i mean VERY. i spend i feel heartpain. but no choice.. the water itself we buy evryday spend abt 80 sing bucks altogether =/

friday- this day is pretty bad, bus journey add up to five hrs. rather sickening. went to orvieto, beautiful village somewhere in mountains, alot of small alleys and streets. a pretty church which i cant remember the name =/ bought souvenirs.. ohyeaa. went to the leaning tower of pisa, which is really leaning! wonder why nv collapse also. haha. nv go inside though.. no time cos i go wit touragency =S went to santa maria cathedral, and the doors of paradise next to it. was night, couldnt really see, but the impressive cathedral stood tall and i went to touchtouch the carvings.. really amazing how they did it.. after dinner went to piazzale michelangelo to view florence. then go hotel sleep.

saturday- my second favourite place VENICE. haha.. beautiful watercity.. took bus there then transfer to boat, churchs there againnn. italy is full of it. the most impressive one is the basilica that i entered, and lit a candle made my prayer and left it. stmarks square is full of pigeons, very scary!! like they swarm ard you.. venice was flooding in the morning, but we went in afternoon, praise God! there was a doges palace there too, and a bridge of sighs that prisoned ppl in the past walk on before they get executed. went to the most incredible glass blowing factorie, i bought a bracelet, quite expensive but beautiful.. sat on the gondola, the boat that brings us ard venician houses, very cool to have water rite at your doorstep, went under bridges, beside restauraunts, can see ducks swimming in the water next to you, undescripable beauty and peace you can feel. nicest plaec in italy.

sunday- milan day! yea, the stylish and bustling city of milan, where al de branded stuff are sold, the young woman in my tour grp were going crazy abt that. my favourite was going up to the duomo cathedral in a lift, then taking pictures at different parts of the cathedral, from the highest point you can view the entire milan and the swiss alps. I N C R E D I B L E. after that bad stuff hapned, shocked at my defiance too, anyway don't feel like talking abt sad things here, wan you can ask me yah. so went to the huge gallery victor emmanuel 2nd shopping mall, and the entire area was crowded. very high class italians were there, and italian guys are the hunkiest guys. haha. realllyy. very attractive. my sharp eyes saw jingchuan from zhen qing there. was wondering who's that crazy peep wearing 3quarters and highheels when i'm wearing so many layers of clothes, look carefully its her, very pretty in real life! quite a sad day for me though.

monday- SWITZERLAND day. very fast right. very hectic tour.. but nvm! so crossed the italian and swiss border.. temperature in italy vary from abt 2-10 degrees. switzerland.. HA.. worserrr!! anyway once you entered switzerland you will be overwhelmed by the moutaineous areas because its beautiful. you see geog things like waterfalls and rapids evrywhere, and you wonder how did such beautiful creations take place. moutains are really evrywhere.. me started humming alot of God's songs, just felt like it :) and the songs one after another just pop into my head. woweee.. haha..

we headed up to zermatt. my FAVOURITE place in tour. no cars, no pollution, you take a train up to the village there. less then 1km long. picture it. temperature there -3 degrees. got snow. amazing.. amazingly beutiful, can view the moutain matterhorn ( 4th highest in europe) which is above zermatt. den i shop shop shop the whole day, bought alot stuff. dad feeling generous. my whole family bought watchs too.. swiss made.. bought cuckoo clock, ornaments. very happy that day. at night temp fal even lower, ALL shops clsoe by 630 =/ yet i stil walking ard, the hotel and evrythin cottage style, VERY pretty. meals there are much nicer then italy's.

tuesday- bern day. bern is the capital of switzerland. not much time there, anyway its just an ok city, compared to italy its not as nice. go see their bears, the bern trademark. see their clock tower. interlaken day too. another village in mountains, not as nice as zermatt. did more shopping there, and yea, had SWISS FONDUE for dinner! their specialty, its like, swiss steamboat, and its rather delicious dipping food in cheese, then meat in diff sauces, then fruits with chocolate, but then again.. it sounds nice more then it taste nice. i stil prefer marinabay steamboat.. haha.. cheaper and nicer!

wednesday- happy birthday sirhongwei!! on hw's birthday, did something special. haha. zermatt is the nicest place, but my fav time was going up the swiss alps, to the HIGHEST POINT OF EUROPE in the jungfraujoch mountains, which i did today!! heh heh. took us a drive and train rides, abt3 hrs to get up to there. snow mountains, all the way up. all white, no sign of any rocks or part of mountain as u go higher. air there thin so we all cant run if not no breath. beyond words the view. but i'm going back there again. defnitely. this time for some skiing, my dad said, as the tour cant no time. so i stood on the highest point of europe.. seh me!! =p the snow there is not even soft, hardened up, temp there -6 degrees. windy. my hands freeze cos i took out gloves to take pictures. my ears, like gonna drop off. went town of lucerne, which is kinda boring =/ too much of these towns and evrything, lucern kinda seemed cliche.

thurday- byebye to evrything, sadsad me. but there was still helsinki city tour. so we took plane from zurich airport to helsinki (finland) and had abt 8 hrs there, and my mum didnt know that it wil have snow there.. and temp below zero.. so my whole family wore very little! very very little.. haha.. we died there, so we hid out in the departmental stores, and hardly went out into the streets. finland people have this look of their own, this special look, interesting. ohyeaa. the stats are like this. what do i call expensive. a bus trip four 3 people cost almost 24bucks. and its not a long drive. heartpainnnn!! went to helsinki airport and wait for 3 hrs.. so boring.

friday- anyway i spent friday in plane, this time the shows were i robot and cinderella story, not that bad yea, so i kept falling aslp.. then wake up watch.. from there, went to transit at bangkok and back to singapore. 12 hrs plus, nice. this time it pass fast, reach sg its the first time i sweat in 10days. i miss chinese food. i miss people. but no, not the life.
